My name is Tayo, and I’m the founder and lead piano tutor at Tayo’s Music Academy.

Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I spent hours at the piano, losing track of time as I learned new songs. What started as a hobby quickly became one of my greatest passions and later, my way of helping others discover that same joy.

After years of playing and teaching informally, I realised something important: many people want to learn music but feel overwhelmed by complicated methods, feel too busy or not sure where to start. They crave structured, patient, and encouraging teaching that actually gets results without the stress. I also saw a need in churches for skilled musicians.

That’s exactly why I created Tayo’s Music Academy in 2025.

I started small, teaching my first students online while still working my day job (I might still be working my day job at the time you’re reading this). With just two beginner piano students, I built a clear 3-level curriculum designed specifically for absolute beginners. The goal was simple: make learning piano fun, progressive, and achievable — so students can play real songs they love within weeks, not years.

Today, Tayo’s Music Academy offers flexible online lessons, in-home tutoring in London, and small group classes. We keep classes small and personal because I believe every student deserves individual attention, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
